The Special Education Coordinator of the Dale County School System is in the process of identifying all children with disabilities or gifted from birth to 21 years of age, who are not presently receiving special education services.  Gifted students are those who perform at high levels in academic or creative fields when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment.  These students mlay be referred by teachers, counselors, administrators, parents or guardians, peers, self, or any other individuals with knowledge of the student's abilities.  If you know of any disabled child or youth that is not being served in and ESL/504/IDEA school program, please contact the Special Educcation Coordinator, Dale County Board of Education, (334) 774-2355.  To make referrals, contact the child's school.
