Newton Elementary School

Newton Elementary School is located on Highway 134 in the town of Newton, Alabama, and is one of  the seven schools in the Dale County School System.  The school is comprised of four buildings on 17.4 acres and dates back to the 1920s when the high school for the south end of Dale County was located at this site.  Since 1962 Newton Elementary School has serviced kindergarten through sixth grade.  Arizona Howell Hall, completed in 1998, with 9 new classrooms is the most recent addition to the campus.  In 1999 the school became a Title I School which enabled the school to implement a computer lab and provide computers for each classroom.
